Over 20 years ago a group of climbers launched the first International Climbers’ Festival right here in Lander WY. This grassroots festival has been a summer highlight ever since. Climbers from all around the globe have made the voyage to Lander to celebrate climbing, listen to great music, drink beer and climb.

Not much has changed since that summer in 1993. Sure there are hundreds of additional routes, new crags developed and more great places to eat or get a beer, but hings haven’t changed much. Wild Iris Mountain Sports is still the one-stop shop for info and gear for Wyoming climbing. The Lander Bar/Gannett Grill is still the place to grab a local burger and cool off with a brew after a day in the Canyon. City Park still offers free camping and Lander is still a fantastic place to test your skills whichever discipline of climbing suits your fancy.

This year we have something new! We take part in the GLOBAL CITY BALANCE CHALLENGE sponsored by GIBBON SLACKLINES!
