Kumamoto-city is situated in the west of Kumamoto prefecture on the banks of the Shirakawa River. It is the prefectural capital with a population of around 700,000 people.

The city is most famous for its castle, which is still celebrated as one of the top 3 castles in all Japan. As home to the most active volcano in Japan, Kumamoto’s alternative title of Hi no Kuni – The Land Of Fire, is surprising.

The part of Kumamoto is still in the process of the restoration from the earthquake disaster happened in April last year. But we believe that we will get through the difficulties with all our strength.

Minamo Matsuri is a great local festival that takes place at Suizenji Ezuko Park, one of oasis/relaxing places for citizens in Kumamoto. We are participating in Global City Balance Challenge in Oct 1st.

Slackline is getting popular but being part of the global movement is our most important goal.

We aim to get everyone involved and show the world how balanced and high-spirited we are.

We believe that slacklining will not only get us more balanced but also strengthen the bond in our community. Webbing the world and Kumamoto!
