Urban Highline Festival 2010

"Urban Highline Festival 2010" is the second edition of the slackline festival in Lublin. Last year we had 60m long highline 50m above the ground in the center of the city. In a park we set up 30m long tree-highline and couple slacklines for everyone.

This year in plans are:

- 3 highlines from 20m up to 50m long above the main square,
- trickline, longline, speedline, high-jump competitions,
- meeting and highlining together with 6 special guests: Jerry Miszewski (USA), Bernhard Witz (CH), Jakub Kveton Hanus - "Kwjet Oslaf" (CZ), Jordan Tybon (USA), Faith Dickey (USA) and Jan Galek (PL)

Main organizers of the slackline festival are: Rafal Sadownik (PL), Jan Galek (PL), Jordan Tybon (USA) and Faith Dickey (USA)

We are still working on the details of the competitions putting everything together, but for today we know already some sponsors of the event.

Prizes for the trickline contest and trickline competition will be sponsored by Gibbon.

For the longline competition there will be possibility to win some nice equipment from Jerry's company: Balance Community.

On the main webstie of the festival you can find already official rules of the competitions in Polish and English and picture gallery from the last year. In a next few days we'll add exact localizations, bios of the special guests.

19 VIII 2010 (Thursday)

11.30 official start of the festival on the main square,
12.00 - 16.00 highline show with some of the best athletes worldwide to participate,
17.00 - 21.00 chilling on the tricklines and longlines for everyone interested

20 VIII 2010 (Friday)

10.00 longline competition,
17.00 the end of the longline contest,
18.00 results and prizes

21 VIII 2010 (Saturday)

09.00 - 14.00 highline workshops with special guests,
15.00 - 19.00 trickline contest,
20.00 results and prizes

22 VIII 2010 (Sunday)

09.00 - 12.00 speedline competition
12.30 results and prizes,
13.00 - 15.00 fun jump contest
16.30 chilling out together on the slackline, longline and highline till the end of the day.
